Install and activate your eSIM
From purchase to connection in under 2 minutes. Follow the guide for your phone — iPhone or Android.
Before you start: connect to WiFi, keep the AEY email with your QR code handy, and check that your phone is eSIM compatible. Ideally, install the eSIM before you leave — you'll activate it on arrival.
QR code installation Recommended
- Open Settings › Cellular (or “Cellular Data”).
- Tap “Add Cellular Plan” or “Add eSIM”.
- Scan the QR code received in your AEY email.
- Confirm the download, then name your plan (e.g. “AEY Travel”).
Manual installation
- Settings › Cellular › Add Plan.
- Tap “Enter Details Manually” (below the scan screen).
- Enter the SM-DP+ address and the activation code shown in your AEY email.
Activate on arrival
- Settings › Cellular › select the AEY eSIM as your data line.
- Turn on “Data Roaming” for this line (essential abroad).
- Keep your French line active for your usual calls and texts.
QR code installation Recommended
- Open Settings › Network & Internet › SIM cards (on Samsung: Connections › SIM manager).
- Tap “Add eSIM” or “Add plan”.
- Scan the QR code received in your AEY email.
- Confirm the plan download.
Manual installation
- Settings › SIM cards › Add eSIM.
- Choose “Enter code manually”.
- Enter the activation code (format LPA:1...) provided in your AEY email.
Activate on arrival
- Settings › SIM cards › enable the AEY eSIM.
- Set it as the default for mobile data.
- Turn on roaming for this eSIM.
Frequently asked questions
Is my phone eSIM compatible?
Most recent smartphones are: iPhone XR and newer, Google Pixel 3 and up, Samsung Galaxy S20 and up, and many others. On iPhone, dial *#06#: if an “EID” appears, your device supports eSIM.
Will I keep my French number?
Yes. The AEY eSIM is a secondary line dedicated to data. Your French SIM card stays active for your usual calls and texts.
When should I install my eSIM?
Install it before you leave, comfortably on WiFi. On arrival, all that's left is to turn on roaming to be connected immediately.
I didn't receive my QR code, what should I do?
Check your spam folder. If you find nothing, write to us at contact@aey-mobile.com: a real person replies and resends your QR quickly.
