A land of lakes, forests, and cheese, Wisconsin invites both relaxation and adventure. Its Door County peninsula, dotted with fishing villages, cherry orchards, and lighthouses, ranks among the Midwest's most beloved getaways. To the south, Milwaukee blends historic breweries, an art museum of bold architecture, and one of the world's largest music festivals. Farther west, Wisconsin Dells has earned a name as a waterpark capital, while far to the north the Apostle Islands reveal sea caves and lighthouses on the cold shores of Lake Superior. Between generous nature, German-Scandinavian traditions, and warm hospitality, Wisconsin lends itself to active trips and indulgent weekends alike, right through the changing seasons.

✨The small town of Ripon is recognized as the birthplace of the Republican Party, founded in its Little White Schoolhouse in March 1854.
🧭In Milwaukee, the Milwaukee Art Museum's Quadracci Pavilion spreads its movable wings daily, an architectural show worth catching.
ℹ️Summer is high season, ideal for kayaking the Apostle Islands and for Milwaukee's festivals, while autumn cloaks Door County in spectacular color. Winters are harsh but open onto activities such as walking across the frozen ice of Lake Superior, conditions permitting. A car is recommended, as the sites are spread out. Good to know: on the Apostle Islands and in some northern forest areas, mobile network coverage can be patchy or absent out on the water. Book lodging early in Door County and the Dells, both very busy in peak season.
